Celebrating Ryandale: Intermediate First Aid Training in Kingston

There’s something special about learning skills that can help you care for the people around you.

Push For Life recently had the pleasure of delivering Intermediate First Aid training in Kingston for residents and staff from Ryandale Transitional Housing. Hosted at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the course brought people together to practise essential skills and strengthen their community’s preparedness.

Congratulations to everyone who completed their certification! Taking time to learn, practise, and support one another is something worth celebrating.

Community support that makes learning possible

This training came together through the support of several local organizations, each contributing to an opportunity for Ryandale residents and staff.

Our Livable Solutions helped make the training possible, and St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church generously welcomed the group into their space. Push For Life delivered the hands-on instruction using the Canadian Red Cross curriculum.

We’re grateful to everyone involved. When local organizations come together, they create opportunities that reach beyond the classroom.

Practical skills to support one another

Intermediate First Aid, which includes CPR Level C, helps participants prepare to respond to emergencies at home, at work, and in their community.

Learning together gives residents and staff an opportunity to build shared knowledge and practise helping one another. It also creates space for questions, encouragement, and greater confidence with unfamiliar skills.

Ryandale celebrated their participants’ dedication to keeping their space safe, prepared, and supported. We’re happy to join that celebration—and recognize the effort each person put into completing their training.

First aid training with a welcoming approach

At Push For Life, we want people to feel comfortable learning. Our approach combines practical instruction with a supportive environment where questions are welcome and participants have time to practise.

As a local, family-owned business, we value opportunities to work with the people and organizations that strengthen our Kingston community. Supporting this course was a meaningful way to contribute what we do best: helping people develop the skills to help others.

To the Ryandale residents and staff who joined us: congratulations on your Intermediate First Aid certification! Thank you for making preparedness a priority and for welcoming us into your learning experience.

And to Our Livable Solutions and St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church: thank you for helping make this opportunity possible.
