This online course provides a daily aid to respond to the stresses of life, and helps participants gain an understanding of how to recognize when a someone is experiencing distress as well as how to offer help without judgement or assumptions. Participants learn how to support others to cope with the effects of various types of stress. Combine this course with the Psychological First Aid - Self-Care online course as a foundation and further support to existing wellness education programs.
Available as a stand-alone course, or for candidates who wish to take the Psychological First Aid in-class course. Course is adaptable to all audiences (Youth, Workplace, Professional Responder).
14 years of age and older. Adult support recommended for younger audiences.
Psychological First Aid: Caring For Others (Online)
Different than Mental Health First Aid, Psychological First Aid is a resiliency-based program for everyone that offers prevention and coping strategies for dealing with different types of stress resulting from various types of impact.
