Our First Aid & CPR courses are designed to train and certify both the public and employees for workplace purposes. We are WSIB approved and deliver a coveted Red Cross certification.

Standard First Aid & CPR

Have you ever wished that you knew what to do when someone is ill or injured? Would you like to learn the right way to care for injuries and illnesses and perhaps how to prevent them all together?
We believe that First Aid is a life skill that everyone should have. Prepare yourself to respond to several situations from minor injuries to the most emergent situations that may require life saving skills.
**For workplaces with 6 or more people working on any shift, at least 1 must have a Standard First Aid certificate. Workplaces must have at least one person on site at all times who has a valid first aid certificate.

Participants who hold a current Standard First Aid certification may be eligable for "Re-Certification" if they completed the full 2 day (Standard First Aid) course with in the past 3 years. Once a participant has Re-Certified, they will need to repeat the full 2 day course again (within 3 years) to maintain their certification status.
**Expired participants will need to repeat the full 2 day Standard First Aid course. Certifications expire 3 years less one day from the completion date of the previous certification.

Emergency First Aid & CPR

This health care provider level course takes a team approach to CPR with a focus on high-performance CPR. Basic Life Support inncorporates advanced skills requiring participants to develop a deeper understanding of resuscitation. This course is applicable and recommended for First Responders, Nurses, Dentists, and students of these professions.
* Basic Life Support is a 1 year certification.
** HCP levle CPR has been replaced by BLS (Basic Life Support).

Psychological First Aid - Certification

This wellbeing centred course helps participants identify practical skills to respond to stress in themselves and others.
Participants will participate in a self-directed online lesson about self-care before attending a one day in-class session focused on helping others.
Community resiliency is built through preparedness. Learning and practicing healthy coping strategies will help us respond and move through difficulty better.
What to Expect
Before the course:
You can register online through our website, via email (contact us), or over the phone. We will need your telephone number and email address to complete your registration. Payment can be made online or over the phone to complete your registration.
During the course:
Our approachable instructors will introduce themselves and give you a little background about us and our relationship with the Canadian Red Cross. You will receive teaching through a variety of methods including presentations, scenarios, and hands on practice. At the completion of the presentation, your instructor will administer a knowledge evaluation. Participants must achieve a grade of 75% or higher to successfully achieve certification.
After the course:
You will receive an email from redcross.ca. The email will contain a link to the Red Cross
portal where you can sign in and obtain your digital certificate. Certificates can be downloaded and printed, or emailed.
***Certifications expire 3 years less one day from the completion date of your course, with the exception of the Basic Life Support (HCP) course with has a certification period of 1 year less one day.
